Our Dry Eye Assessment Includes: =Assessment of the ocular surface and tear film – this will include instillation of diagnostic dyes. These dyes are painless and do not affect your vision, and provide vital information regarding the health and quality of the front surface of the eye and the tear film =Assessment of the eyelids and lashes – to investigate how the tear glands are functioning and to determine whether other ocular conditions are present, e.g. blepharitis =Assessment of tear quality – to determine the stability of the tear film and how it interacts with the ocular surface =A full treatment plan to include further treatments, at home remedies, or a mixture of two, depending on each individual’s dry eye status
A Dry Eye Assessment is recommended for: =Any individuals suffering from the symptoms listed =Anyone wanting a thorough health check of their anterior eye (front surface of the eye), which is not included in a standard eye examination =Post ocular surgery including LASIK (refractive), cataract and other laser treatments
